About these terms
These terms govern orders placed with Navratnazz, a make-to-order jewellery workshop with a bench in Bikaner, Rajasthan and a client studio in Mumbai. Placing an order, paying an advance or joining the savings plan means you accept these terms.
Order journey
A confirmed order follows a fixed path: reference sharing, online call or studio meeting, design finalisation, budget confirmation, an explanation of handmade nuances, 80% advance, 30–40 days of handwork, quality checks at each stage, certification, then handover with the 20% balance. Timelines start from the date the advance and final design approval are both received.
Payments
80% of the estimated order value is payable in advance to begin work. The remaining 20% is payable at handover. If the finished specification or weight differs from the estimate, the balance is billed on actual at the rates already approved. We accept bank transfer and UPI; card and online checkout are not offered at present.
Design changes
Design changes are accepted free of charge until framing begins. After framing, changes may attract additional making charge and extend the timeline. After stone setting begins, structural changes are not possible; we will offer the nearest alternative in writing.
Handmade nuances
Handmade Jadau carries the marks of hand work: minor asymmetry in stone layout, small variation in enamel tone, and weight variation against the estimate. These are characteristics of the craft, not defects. We show progress photographs at framing, setting and polish so there are no surprises at handover.
Quality, certification and warranty
Gold is BIS hallmarked; sterling silver is 925 stamped; diamonds and polki carry an independent lab report where stated. Manufacturing defects reported within 12 months of handover are repaired or the piece remade at no cost. Damage from wear, impact, chemicals, resizing or repair by a third party is excluded.
Delivery and risk
Handover is at our Mumbai client studio, our Bikaner workshop, or by insured courier. Risk passes to you on handover or on delivery signature. Delays caused by courier, statutory hallmarking queues or force majeure are outside our control, though we will keep you informed.
Cancellation
You may cancel before the advance is paid at no cost. After the advance, cancellation is governed by our refund policy. We may cancel and refund in full if a design cannot be executed safely or a stone parcel cannot be sourced to the agreed grade.
Liability and disputes
Our liability for any order is limited to the amount paid for that order. These terms are governed by Indian law, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bikaner, Rajasthan.
