The 60-day bridal jewellery timeline (and what to order first)

Most Indian brides start looking at jewellery far too late — usually after the outfits are locked. Make-to-order Jadau is not a shelf product: the kundan is set stone by stone, the meena is fired by hand, and a full bridal set genuinely needs 25–30 days on the bench.

Days 60–50: finalise the neckline of your main lehenga. The choker or rani haar is chosen against the neckline, not the other way round. Share reference photos with us in this window and lock the metal karat and stone grade.

Days 50–40: approve the estimate and CAD. This is where the biggest savings are made — moving from natural polki to lab grown on the second-look set alone can bring a set down by a lakh without changing the silhouette.

Days 40–15: the piece is on the bench. We share progress photos at framing, setting and polish. Small design changes are still possible at the framing stage; after setting begins, changes cost time.

Days 15–7: hallmarking, lab certification and final weight slip. Your invoice shows gross weight, net weight, stone weight and making charge separately.

Days 7–0: insured dispatch, trial with the outfit, and any last sizing on bangles or rings. Keep this week free — it is also when the family jewellery gets polished.
