Real bridal jewellery budgets: what ₹2, ₹5 and ₹10 lakh actually buy

Families rarely tell a jeweller their real budget, and jewellers rarely show what a budget honestly covers. Here is the plain version, based on what leaves our bench.

Around ₹2 lakh: one statement piece in lighter-karat gold with lab grown or imitation stones, or a full silver Jadau bridal look with matching earrings, tikka and a haath phool. Photographs beautifully, wears comfortably.

Around ₹5 lakh: a gold Jadau choker with earrings and tikka, with natural polki concentrated in the centre motifs and lab grown stones filling the sides. Add two silver looks for the mehndi and haldi within the same budget.

Around ₹10 lakh: a complete gold bridal set — choker, rani haar, earrings, tikka, kada or bangles — with certified natural polki throughout, plus a second-look set.

Where to spend: the piece that sits at the centre of every photograph, and anything worn against the skin all night. Where to save: pieces the camera sees once. Mixing stone grades across a set is the single most effective way to hold a budget without changing a silhouette.
